I sink, awakened from a dream Pull one off, one from the onion tree Take it down, pass it around, White, red, or brown From you to me, fresh from the tree Round in shape, purple layered capes called leaves One from the onion tree Take it down, pass it around, White, red, or brown From you to me, fresh from the tree And it's hard and it's hard but I tried to grow my own onion tree to reach the top of the potatoe globe Trimming onions off into a basket down below and my ladder is slipping So I sink, awakened from a dream Pull one off, one from the onion tree Take it down, pass it around, White, red, or brown From you to me, fresh from the tree

Unravel 03:16
I'm writing you from far away Hoping this message sends your way I'm holding true, staying up at night Staring at the light to go blind I'm holding out, trying not to shout When will I hear from you again I can't pretend I am at the end When this train has just only left I'm calling you, holding true Will you point me out? Unravel my doubt I'm turning blue, those things you do Will you point me out? Unravel my doubt, I hope so The fallen air puts me back to bed, nothing lies ahead for me now I'm laying low, try and catch a cold In a rocker old, resting now And then one day, a call you did make Picking up the pace of my heart I can't see ghosts, but I'm not opposed to opening my eyes for you now I'm calling you, holding true Will you point me out? Unravel my doubt I'm turning blue, those things you do Will you point me out? Unravel my doubt, I hope so

Hey! 02:57
February, holding may, I called you up and ran your way Pulling rocks like they were thorns, Out of my socks onto the floor Wishing I could cheer you up, seems likely you had enough Low ceilings with paper doors, I went in and left with more and I say Hey! Warming by the frozen lake, walking ice hoping to make it Climbing stairs covered in snow, once you're there, nobody knows Overlooking, the sun, it hides, peaking through the swirling sky Our hands meeting glove to glove, I looked at her and fell in love and I say Hey!

Eaten Alive 03:14
Use to live by the river side, but moved myself into the city Found the things that came alive bit right at my behind I've tried all you can get, 40 deet, I've bathed in it Even at camp clear sky, they came to vibe I don't know what to do when mosquitoes bite through my socks, shirt, and shoes. Eaten alive, it's a sacrifice of being outside It's a paradise Got a net for my head, those bites still turn red All the blood that they take is more that I make Can't stop these bastard things, vampires with tiny wings Even in my car they got inside I don't know what to do when mosquitoes bite through my socks, shirt, and shoes. Eaten alive, it's a sacrifice of being outside It's a paradise They're gonna get me, they're gonna get you too, oh it's no lie Eaten alive, it's a sacrifice of being outside It's a paradise

Aliens 04:19
Lazy Staying home tonight, I don't believe. I was out Standing in a field on the 13th. Coming down Spotted from a far, unsettling. Tractor beam Over my house, hovering. They beamed me up and let me stay. Their green fluorescence guided my way. Energy Coursing through my veins, I do believe. I went in Hiding in my home so patiently. Waiting Please leave me alone. I need to sleep. Leaving On to the next cloud they are chasing.

Breakfast 03:10
When I wake, I hit my snooze alarm and drink I need some fuel, something to keep my body full Breakfast Need something to start my day Breakfast Soak up the booze from the night Coffee, juice: apple, orange, or cranberry Scrambled eggs, toast, waffles, pancakes, and bacon Breakfast Where is the syrup ladle, fool? Breakfast Gravy all over my food Smoke a bowl of 16 frosted mini wheats Milk the cow, drink that shit right from the teat Breakfast Makes a boy grow into a man Breakfast Get it while it’s hot and while you can Ma use to make, the best breakfast within the lakes It kept me full, now my body has the fuel of Breakfast I think I’ll buy a frying pan Breakfast Get it while it’s hot and while you can

Frozen 02:51
Brick by brick, I did pull I'm crumbling, standing still It's not the same, cement in my brain, frozen Piles stacked, growing snow The unity, that I knew It's not the same, cement in my brain, frozen If I wanted to pour water in the tray, the door is open wide, and the heat has been engaged So melt away fallen snow The rain today, falling slow It's not the same, cement in my brain, frozen

There is this thing that my friends do, I watch them smoke a funny flower It smells grotesque and isn't cool It makes them all have super powers I've smelled the smell from outside A cloud a smoke they do abide I went inside and asked them why Smoke in my lungs a contact high And I don't wanna Marijuana I just wanna stay in school And I don't wanna Marijuana And I don't wanna be a fool They tried to get me to hit the bong They said they found Tom DeLong My dad bursts in "where is the swan?" I hit the joint and said "c'mon" I just wanna Marijuana And I don't wanna stay in school I just wanna Marijuana And I just wanna be a fool Smoke this smoke that, your life is gonna be full of shit if you never quit, I don't wanna stay in school You can hit the bowl, you can hit the bong but if you won't move just say I just wanna be a fool

In the spring the flowers bloom, like my love with you. In the fall our love did fall, overtime, overdue. In winter time we're on thin ice, looking to fall through. Back to spring, I'm feeling green. Honey, why don't you? I jump and shout and plead and scream Baby won't you kill me. I spit and twist and start to bleed Baby won't you kill me. The seasons pass, I live in sand. Rubbing salt on wounds. A band-aid torn, a shard of glass. The pain resembles you. An itch that clocks and won't dare stop. Overtime, overdue. Back to spring, I'm feeling green. Honey, why don't you? I know it's been a long time, since I've seen you last. But a warm embrace with a dull knife would surely make me.

Forward by Cliff Yankovich:
Onion trees are the stuff of myths and legends. Visionary Ryne Clarke has one foot firmly in the mythical soil from whence such legendary trees grow. Inspiration for this musical exploration was ignited during a powerful dream state in which it was suggested that Eden's Tree of Knowledge might could have been the many layered onion plucked from the Original Tree and not the humble apple.
Thus began his Musical Quest to explore and share the legend.
Ever the musical inclusive, Clarke drew upon his constantly growing circle of collaborators, cronies, hobnobbers, and henchmen to fashion the musical journey upon which you embark herein. His cohorts number 37, a number many people, really smart people who know, consider both magical and powerful.
Prepare yourself, perhaps with a hearty breakfast, for a musical magick carpet ride. Said bewitchment is produced by a bevy of talented local folk taking full advantage of a plentitude of musical and non-musical instrumentation to challenge the boundaries of the space-time continuum and produce the upward movement of the mouth and tapping of foot parts.
The onion is heralded, lauded and explored as are love, morning sustenance, the real winged Ambassador of Michigan, saying no, and the power of whistling.
Fasten yourself somehow to reality as you blast off.
Perhaps to return.
Perhaps not.
